IRBIi Light Blue and IRBIi Silver Blue mutant varieties of morning glory

Two mutant varieties of morning glory (IRBIi Light Blue and IRBIi Silver Blue) developed through gamma radiation mutation by the Institute of Radiation Breeding, Japan. The two varieties have been planted in proximity to allow for cross-pollination.

The mutant varieties exhibit different coloration than the common morning glory and have flowers that change hue during the course of the day, between morning and evening.
